POST 6 acknowledgement for everyone

Hello, Julie, and everyone, 

I feel awful when I am going to say goodbye to somebody, especially to teachers or classmates, according to my thought , there is no camaraderie more close than classmates or teachers except relatives.  Anyway, this semester must be over. 

Thank you, Julie, I learned more knowledge in your class than the other ones. I remember I once said I felt little progress I had made around one month after class begun in a circle talk. When I turn back and think about that the essay which I wrote in placement test is really bad. But now, I have known how to write a normal essay with perfect paragraph even though I can not really write out a good essay, at least I have had a mind how to write. You are professional, and very organized, most time you seems like a scholar who always wants to transmit knowledge to students, not just for a job.

Thank you, every classmates, at the beginning, I really do not want to pour much emotion to you, because I thought it was just a temporary short term, but, but, in the fact I have poured a lot  to you guys again,that is what I can not control.  I am just so emotional, when I think about apart, I still feel uncomfortable. Thank you for happy cooperation, and happy conversations. 

After ESL class,  I will still stay in Calgary for my three-month PMP training. Even though PMP course is held by U of C, the venue is going to be in downtown campus, so in the coming three months, I will rarely go to main campus. After finished PMP training in October, I will go back to China and back to work again. When I think about my work, I feel headache, I don't like my work very much, my work is oil or gas pipeline construction, the main work place focus on southeast Asia, I am properly going to Bangladesh when I go back from Canada in October.

Fortunately, I will still use English in my work, I will continue to practice my English, not only oral English but also writing.  I have signed up for IELTS test on July 11, I hope I can get a good score, if I can get excellent score, I will consider upgrading my degree in Canada or other countries, properly here, because I like here.  But, I always feel it is difficult to realize a goal,  so ....... 

Anyway, I am going to miss you guys, properly we never meet again, I do not want to say goodbye face to face, it is too sad , it is better to say goodbye in blogger, hoping everyone have a fabulous future, fighting for your dreams!!! My English name is Zachary, remember me~!

POST 5 SIMILARITY AND DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHINA AND CANADA

People always think there are a great much differences between western and Chinese. However, I may disagree. I had a short training in China before our team came here. The training course mainly introduced Canadian culture to make sure we can fit in promptly when we come here.  I felt there were lots of similarity essentially in culture between Canada and China even though there are a great deal of differences. I have been here for almost 2 months, and now I could write down some feelings about these similarities and differences.

The instinct of people , no matter where they come from,  is same. Chinese are famous for our hospitality. When you go to China, especially in Beijing, you can feel that kind of passion which Chinese have to treat friends from other countries, sometimes we Chinese think we have overreacted with hospitality when we make friends with foreigner in China, anyway that is character which nobody or some individuals can not change in short time. During these days in Calgary, I have received the similar treat by Canadian. For instance, one day I forgot to take my Upass with me, thus I have to buy one ticket when I was going to take C-train, but I did not take coins, then I asked for help from some strangers who are typically Canadian from their face look, unfortunately they did not have any coins too, but they can use their credit card. Finally one of them used his credit card to buy a ticket for me and without charge anything from me. I was surprised, before that I thought just only Chinese can do these so called silly hospital kind things, I totally changed my mind after that day.  Any coin has two sides, I also encounter some unfriend people in Calgary, the same situation has to go for China. Hence, we  can not judge the whole country quality by some bad behavior individuals, we should contemplate on majority of one country. 

whereas, there are some differences which I strongly felt exists between Canadian culture and Chinese. The ordinary rhythm for working or studying in Calgary is obviously faster than my city, even Beijing. Beijing is one of cities which have most fast working rhythm in China. Even that, people who work in Beijing still have one and half hour to have their launch in restaurant or canteen in company, nobody takes box launch to work. Things have very different sides here. I can see that nearly everybody takes food to workplace or school as their launch. Maybe this phenomenon happens in company rarely, one reason for what I saw may be that we are in university, and we can not get used to local food quickly. The other one thing which impressed me is taking bus and C-train with same tickets. In China, you are always supposed to buy different tickets for different transportation tools even they are runned by same company. 

Anyway, I prone to find the similarity between two countries, so it helps me to adjust myself to local culture. If you have been to lots of countries , you will find that people who live in any where is almost common in their inner personality, just have some customs, such as staple food, greeting ways, working rhythm, in different.        

post 4 --How was my looooooooooooooooooooong weekend going?

I experienced sunshine, cloudy, rainy and snowy weather in 2 days, that sounds like enough long for long weekend.

I went to Jasper national park with my colleges on Saturday and Sunday. when I departed from downtown, it was raining in Saturday morning, that indicated it was going to be a rough day.

On our way to Jasper park, it became cloudy, it was not very good for taking photos, it was not very clear to see snow mountains. I didn't think I have a very excited day, because I spent most time in the car, we had not lots of tourism attraction to visit, maybe because there was not a local guider with us. If some local guider or someone who was very familiar with attractions in Jasper was along with us, we might had had a good day.

When we arrived at Jasper town, it was snowing. Since there was no accommodation in the town, we had to drive to Hiton town, which is 70km away from Jasper town, to find our booked hotel.

In the Sunday morning, we backed from Hiton town as the same route as we went to on Saturday. while on the way to back, it was snowing heavily, however, it became sunshine day when we arrived at glacier at afternoon. We stopped at the point of glacier, some of us went to Skywalk , in the meanwhile, some of us went to the foot of glacier.

Anyway, the landscape and air in the mountain is very great. In china, it is very hard to see snow mountain in this season.

Post 3--success

what is success ? There is no universal definition for success. For different person, it has different means. For me, I think, success has several definition depending on different scopes.

For my family, my success means that: I have stable job and stable income, I can raise my child and my parents, I have big success that means I have ability to help my siblings to live better. If I can send my child to study abroad and help my child get a good job, that is a big success for me, also for most Chinese,I think. Please don't say my mind is too superficial or too narrow. There is no good society guarantee in China as good as in western country or euro, we can not to live without money. Only we have money, we can talk about happy,dream and helping others. It will be totally different in western countries, they have very good society guarantee, they can keep alive even they don't work. so they can do some social jobs to help others.

For big success, of course helping others is ultimate definition. Successful people should help all the citizen over the country to live better without worried about disease, lack of money, jobless,etc. More successful people should help world to keep peace, making people all over world stepping into beautiful world where there is no hungry, no disease, no war.

But there is rarely people can realize the second success as what I mentioned, so let us back to reality, let us work hard and earn enough money to raise our family.

How do you deal with success and failure? I agree with part of Elizabeth Gilbert' words. When we experience failure or difficulty, we must insist or keep doing again and again just as Elizabeth Gilbert said. But we can not again forever, we can insist doing same thing for 3 years or 5 years without even little success, after that wen can not do it again, what we need to do is to find the reason. Maybe we are really not appropriate for that job which we have done for many years, we should consider changing it and trying another one, maybe we can approach a big success even we change a little. Because life is so short, we can not be too stubborn, we need deal with failure flexibly. Of course, when we reach achievement or success , we cannot feel arrogant or conceited, what we always need to do is keep peace and focus on our career which is right for us.

Why do I choose this song? That is because when I heard this song, I changed my attitude towards life. Every time I heard this song, I would remember that kind of agony which lost relatives and I felt life is very short,so I wanted to cherish my limited life and everything belongs to me.

Introduction--Tu Yanhui(Zachary)

hello everyone,

My name is Tu Yanhui, you can call me Zachary, which means the person who God believe in. I come from China.

Why I am here for English learning? My company sent me here, and I am also very happy here, I think this is a good opportunity to study English and to know about Canada. There are two goals for my this abroad study. The first one is enhancing my English according to 3 months ESL course, the other one is getting PMP certification by another 3 months training.

I would like to jog after work or at the weekend. But now I think too much homework gives me rarely time to do exercise.
